KRK Systems hat die Karten neu gemischt und mit den beiden Modellen KNS 6402 und KNS 8402 die Nachfolgemodelle zum KNS6400 und KNS 8400 angekündigt. Die beiden neuen Modelle sollen über einen sehr natürlichen Frequenzumfang verfügen, der einen Standort-unabhängigen Referenzstandard setzen soll – tagsüber, nachts, im Studio oder zuhause.
Der KNS 6402 und 8402 kommen in geschlossener Bauweise mit ohrumschließenden Hörmuscheln. Damit werden Übersprecher mit dem Mikrofon wirkungsvoll unterbunden und man kann sich störungsfrei dem Mix widmen. Die Kopfhörer sind leicht und aus Kunststoff gefertigt und KRK verspricht einen langlebigen Einsatz. Kabel und Ohrpolster sind austauschbar, wobei der KNS 6402 Zellschaum für die Polster verwendet und der KNS 8402 mit Memory-Schaum ausgestattet ist. Die 3,5 mm Miniklinkenstecker sind für einen korrossionsfreien Einsatz goldbeschichtet.
Der KRK Systems KNS 8402 ist zudem mit einer am Kabel integrierten Lautstärkeregelung ausgestattet.
